Set Brief

There are definitely more options beyond AS level, but instead of venturing into a new branch, I’m more drawn to what I’ve already been focusing on—filmmaking. Even if what we did in AS was just a pinch of the real deal, I’m now moving up to the next level: creating a short film.

Apparently, this will be presented at a film festival.
 THAT’S NOT INTIMIDATING AT ALL!
 So yes, it’s time to step up my game and actually excel.

Moving on to the real work—it has been confirmed that I’ll be making a short film. Even saying that out loud sends chills through me (the good kind… I think). I’m equal parts terrified and excited.

Now that I’m aware of the mistakes we made last year—like forgetting to update blogs or not having the dates in order—and how they ended up costing us time, I know exactly what to fix. This time, those lessons are going to help me improve the quality of the entire project.

Reclaiming Momentum: My Journey as Director

It had first been reported that the Media Studies students were divided into two teams, with Sabari and I in one team and Sai Sahanaa and Akhilesh in the other. I hoped to regain momentum and restore the original pace of our pre-production process; however, I had taken a long break in between and had fallen slightly behind. Later, schedules changed, and we were reassigned into a single team, sharing duties and responsibilities equally and contributing to every aspect of the production. To begin with, I continued in the same role I undertook during my AS Level project—Director.
